SASKATCHEWAN COALITION AGAINST RACISM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 5, 2015
SCAR SUPPORTING FAMILY OF HAVEN DUBOIS
The Saskatchewan Coalition Against Racism (SCAR) is supporting the family of Haven Dubois in their quest for answers in his death on May 20th 2015 and has written to the Regina Police Service (RPS) to express that support. SCAR believes that the RPS was much too hasty in terming Haven’s death as being non- suspicious. “Common sense dictates that the circumstances surrounding where Haven was found and information that the family has received since, cry out for a sustained and thorough investigation into this tragedy,” said Bob Hughes of SCAR. “There are many ways to harass, pressure, and, indeed end a person’s life besides physical violence and we are looking forward to the toxicology findings and the cell phone records in this case.”
In the mean time, we salute, and support Haven’s family in their pursuit of justice and we stand with them in their pursuit of methods to curb the gang recruitment pressures that our children are experiencing.
